Georgia Division Confederate Heritage Month committee. Webmaster for the committee website, http://ConfederateHeritageMonth.com which has been recording and making a permanent online record of Confederate Heritage Month Proclamations, Events and News Coverage. This year has expanded to include all States. Working with Public Relations Committee have coordinated Confederate Heritage radio shows or public service ads in five States this year. Co-organizer with John Hall of the first Flagging of the Georgia State Flag fight. Organized and arranged the Baltimore Raid, at the 1990 NAACP National Convention in Baltimore (picture at right, with my wife Pam). At the request of then Georgia Division Commander Jack Bridwell was chosen to be the first contact with the Chairman of the committee our Fair Flag Vote bill (HB-15) was assigned to in the Georgia Legislature. At one point we had a tentative agreement for public hearings which would have brought our bill out of committee onto the floor. DEFEAT was snatched from the jaws of VICTORY by lack of unity within the SCV. Black Southern Heritage Video and DVD. As part of the Put The Flags Back effort in Hollywood, Florida organized an official City of Hollywood, Black History Month program. The program featured Compatriot Nelson Winbush and Professor Ed Smith. The video and DVD are still available (706-374-2640 or from Compatriot Nelson Winbush) and have been donated to over 400 schools and libraries by my fellow Compatriots in almost every Southern State. We fought the battle in Hollywood for over 4 years, and at one point had a 3-2 vote to refurbish the All Wars Memorial (restoring Our Flag) working with other local veteran groups. We snatched DEFEAT from the jaws of VICTORY and lost the battle and our one vote margin once again due to lack of unity within the SCV. Morganton Georgia - Real Georgia Flag. After Governor "King Roy" stole Our Flag in Georgia organized the Keep It Flying campaign in Fannin County Georgia. As usual our effort was initially ignored, but we had Drawn Our Line in the Sand. Gentlemen we dug that puppy with a back hoe. The battle was launched and I told the powers that be that we would be coming for the yellow streak rag 9:30 AM Monday morning. Monday morning began a five month effort. Monday morning was the first of four times the yellow streak fell down, each in broad daylight. Today Our Flag, the REAL Georgia Flag - still flies at the Fannin County courthouse. There were no unity problems in Fannin County and we stood like a rock. (More pictures)
Confederadoes. Organized a visit to our country for Thomas Steagall and Daniel Carr Demuzio of Brazil also as part of the Hollywood Put The Flags Back effort. This speakers forum was for an official Hollywood Hispanic Month program. Took Thomas and Daniel on a Southern battlefield tour and a visit to Elm Springs. Later this led to the Confederado Exchange student program organized in large part by the Coleman brothers. Unify! Focus! Charge!! If you are ready - I am your man.
